RuneScape: Dragonwilds FAQ
Quick answers on release status, platforms, price, crossplay and progression.
Has RuneScape: Dragonwilds been released?
Yes. It entered Early Access on 15 April 2025 and launched version 1.0 on 15 September 2026. The 1.0 update is called Scorned Wilderness, and Early Access has ended.
See the full timelineHow much does it cost, and will the price rise?
The standard edition is $29.99 or £24.99. The Deluxe Edition is $39.99, and the Deluxe upgrade is $9.99. Jagex said on 2 September 2026 that the price will not rise after 1.0.
See price and editionsIs there crossplay?
Yes, but it is not on by default. The host has to enable crossplay when they load or host a world. A world holds up to 4 players, and solo play is fully supported.
See the platform tableCan I play it on Game Pass or PS Plus?
Yes. It joined Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra / Premium on launch day. Subscription catalogues change, so check your console store before relying on it.
See subscription detailsIs it grindy or hard?
Skills go to 99, but normal play levels them for you, so you rarely need to farm. Difficulty comes from Power Level: under-levelled armour gets you flattened in higher regions. Better gear helps more than better reflexes.
Read the verdictDo people still play it?
Steam concurrents are in the tens of thousands, with a 24-hour peak near 22,600. Jagex says more than 1.5 million players joined during Early Access. Solo play is barely affected.
